2011 Fastest Growing Companies Awards!

Woooo boy… last night was a legendary night that everyone is going to remember… I mean, we cant really remember but nobody forgot us and thats for sure. Like every year… we showed up at the Fastest Growing Company Awards and stole the show! We were number 39 out of the 100, but just cause we werent first place doesnt mean that we didnt have all the attention! This event brings in a bunch of people in business suits and stoic attitudes… and then you got us, rollin up in all tie dye with flasks and multiple drinks in hand… every time someone got called up on stage, we just raged and shouted out their names… basically made a huge scene for everyone. Multiple times the announcer had to stop cause we made him laugh too hard and he would say… “I love these guys up front!” Then everyone had to come up to us and ask us what our work was and what we did… one thing I got to say about it is… cougar-fest. Soo many middle aged women coming up and trying to strike conversation! Next year is going to be another fiasco… I cannot wait!!!

Thanks again portland business journal! We had another amazing year and you better believe that next year we are going to show up and make sure everyone has a good time again! I ate sooooo much cheese so I hope there is more cheese next year too. Also, side note… to anticipate the situation better you should get double the amount of beer cause we each individually drank enough for about 10 or 11 people lol. Honestly though it was a blast and next year is going to be even more wild!!!!!!

Oh National Go Skateboarding Day… you got the best of me… I got broke off… ended up getting my wrist x-rayed… no bueno. But ya know what is bueno? Hooking kids up and getting them stoked out of their minds! Here at daddies, we are pretty good at that! SOOOO once again… we delivered! Check the pics! So Me (spencer) and Mikey from here at Daddies rolled out to some of the parks along the columbia gorge and got ton of footage and pictures! Right before we left we found out that there was a new park opening up in the dalles, oregon so we grabbed a bunch of product and went out to hook kids up! There was a contest too so we all entered and our buddy colton carnahan got 3rd (without trying at all!). We rolled out with about 12 dudes all together and camped for 3 days in the hills above white salmon, washington. Had tons of beverages, guitars, bongos, campfires, and a good time! We were promoting Oh My Skateboards along the way. It is a board company that Mikey started up and I help out with a bunch of the photo stuff. So we ended up with 15 daddies decks to give away, 10 sets of bearings to give away, and a bunch of Oh My boards, shirts, and shades to sell! The hood river park was amazing as always, the bingen park was a blast until high cascade showed up and blew the sesh, and the dalles park was amazing! Soooo many good parks out there! Dont forget Lyle, WA park! Heres some pics of us tossing out product and some of us skating too!
