The DB Lunchtray!

DB Lunchtray

DB Lunchtray

When we look at the DB Lunchtray we see progression! We see a platform that truly gives you, the rider, unlimited potential for freeriding! Everything about the board is really pretty fantastic! There is a ton of continuous rocker running from tip to tip, it’s like a teeter-totter! However, unlike most boards with rocker, the Lunchtray has a nice deep and precise flushmounting system that slightly lowers the ride height, but more importantly, allows the degree of your trucks to remain unaffected! Not only is it flushmounted, it is flushmounted AND has optional wheelbases so you can really dial this board into your personal style!

The DB Lunchtray has some mean concave. Above the wheel wells there are hefty flared up areas of 3D concave that will keep your feet locked in no matter how fast you go or how big you slide. Looking at the Lunchtray you will probably notice that there are kicktails but without riding the board you can’t tell how functional they actually are. Believe us, with all of the rocker that this board has, those kicktails are wild and will pop your board up like crazy!

DB Longboards is coming out with some really rad stuff that is going to shape the way for boards of the future. The Lunchtray is just one installment of all their awesome plans to come! If you thought the invention of the wheel was revolutionary… wait til you get your feet on the DB Lunchtray!

West Coastin’ 2nd Report by Pam Díaz

It all started..

Faster than what I ever thought. We made a plan, we collected the money, and with the help of our sponsors we got the car. Thank you Daddies Board Shop, Blue Sky Longboards, Comet Skateboards and Caliber Trucks for your constant support!

The plan is to start in LA and drive in the van to Washington, in a two week roadtrip to the 1st Maryhill She-Ride.

The first spot was Malibu, ready to film and take pictures, we started shredding!

Since the very first moment it was a great feeling to be only girls in a car, driving in California with our skateboards.

After a very nice session in the sunset, we started heading to Santa Barbara, got ready in the supermarket and got the right equipment to go camping. We got there in the night, so I had no idea what was waiting for my eyes to see.

No words to explain the happinnes of waking up in the road in a beautiful morning with four beautiful ladies ready to skate.

The day was AWESOME! we met with locals who invited us to stay for another day, was great because the next day, after good rest we started our way to San Francisco.

In San Francisco we were planning to stay with the Sunset Sliders. The driving was long but worth it ten times!

San Francisco was epic, i would say it was the best stop by far, i love those people!

When we got to SF the boys were waiting for us at Big Dave’s house, our buddies Bandy, Nick, Jensen, Adrian and Jesse. It was amazing how many good vibes we felt since we got there.

The plan was to stay in SF for two nights.

The other day we woke up and went skating with the Sunset Sliders around San Francisco, they showed us some of their spots and we shredded in every of them.

Super grateful to spend time with shredskater brothers in that beautiful city, who took really good care of us

San Francisco has my heart.

Freshly Paved… Fresh and Paving the way!

This level of shredding is pretty awesome. I feel like these dudes got their huge slides on lock very early and then decided to do stuff they hadn’t seen anyone do before. I am sure they are influenced by some bigger names out there but I feel like these guys are pretty original. Speaking of original I am pretty sure I saw the same original longboards prototypes in this video that I saw out at maryhill. And by prototypes I mean boards that will be coming out later this year or next year. Everything looked pretty solid! It really seems as if original is stepping their game up to stay current in the world of downhill and freeride, plus they got some shredders on board to back it up!

Pam AGAIN!!!! She is on FIRE!

She is on fire! Pam Diaz is GREEN!!!

In a box from Abec 11, Daddies Board Shop Team Rider Pam Diaz, found a note that read… “GRN TM / Skate Fast.”

I feel like all we are doing is blogging about Pam but it is hard not to when she gives us so much reason to! There is a lot left unsaid but it is looking like Pam Diaz is going to be getting hooked up from Abec 11. We sure hope she does. Abec 11 is smart to get her on board early. Pam is just one of those riders with natural talent. If you give her the tools she is going to build an empire; that is the type of rider and person that she is. We have watched Pam grow into the fine rider that she is today and when we see companies like Abec 11 getting in on her steeziness… it really brings a smile to our faces.

Felicidades Amiga! You are killing it! Keep up the good work and you are bound to go far!!!

Hitting the streets

Chris Hernandez - Ollie

We have found our way into the streets again. Its basically impossible for us to stay out of them though. But isn’t that the story with all skaters? No matter what else is going on in our lives, those things always seem to end up in second place after our love for wood pushing. Today we went and skated outside the Nike SB secret warehouse skatepark. I like to go down there and skate because it is skate spot central and also because on rare occasion they let you come in and skate the park (it is perfection).

Michael - Ollie

Even in the longboarding community freestyle shapes and the want to get airborne is becoming more and more prevalent. I can’t wait for the Landyachtz Boomstick to come out so I can’t do some crazy stuff on it :P But until then there is always the Landyachtz Trooper and the Comet Ethos 38! I’m just trying to decide what trucks are going to work best on those setups. I know RKP trucks, like a 180mm will fit it well but I kinda want to run Indy 169′s on them with some decently off-set or side-set wheels. Who knows… Gotta try it out first I suppose!

Chris Hernandez - Kickflip

Here is my buddy Chris again, with a man-sized kick flip. Pretty Burly.
