Check out one of our favorite Daddies Girls, Pam Diaz, getting down and dirty in the Dominican Republic as she freerides it up! Want to shred like Pam? Check out her gear!
Word on the street is that DBS Ambassador team rider, Pam Diaz, who we absolutely love, is now officially on Abec 11′s [GRNTM] or… “Green Team” if you aren’t in the know. I know it is easily confused with the ever so often used “Great Rustic Northern Table Moose,” but in Abec 11′s case it just stands for Green Team. We don’t know all the details yet but we will sure keep you posted so keep on coming back for more news! This year is treating Pam so well and we couldn’t be more proud of her! Well we spilled the beans, lets see what Abec 11 has in store for her!!! Mwuaaahahahahaha!
We here at Daddies Board Shop have acquired a new shredder. He is a young fellow from here in the Pacific Northwest, Marcus Dalton! He has a super unique style, especially to this area, very flowy and relaxed… we like that!
Marcus was rocking a fun a little setup. He is on a sector 9 downhill division “Lacey.” He was riding a short wheelbase on it and I saw him doing manuals and mini ollie’s all day on it. He has 50 degree caliber baseplates with randal hangers and 78a center set sector 9 race formula wheels.
Hands down the best part about skating with Marcus was that he was totally down to adventure and go hit up crazy random spots. I love that. I grew up street skating so I was always on a quest with my friends to find new spots. Most of the time when I shoot longboarding we hit up a hill and pretty much stay there the entire time. Marcus was all about exploring and finding new spots, regardless of how good the pavement was. I want to see more of this in longboarding for sure. There are too many photo shoots and video shoots in super fancy rich neighborhoods. I feel like places like that are good for practicing and learning. It is kind of like how skateparks work, good for learning tricks and dialing them in… but you wouldn’t really film a video part there. Street just looks way more interesting and creative! It works the same with longboarding, the weird alleyways and jenky spots look way sicker!
This spot was pretty funny. We had finished up skating a different spot and we went searching for something new. There was a huge group of people walking down here in a tour or something so we thought we would give it a look-see. After shredding for about 5 minutes we got stopped by a lady who 1.) wanted to know what we were doing and 2.) asked us not to publicize the spot. I just told her we wouldn’t mention any street names… but truthfully… what skaters look at street names when they are out skating? I would have no idea how to get back here!
So there you have it folks, Marcus is a new dude that you will be seeing more and more of. We are super stoked that he is part of the team and we can’t wait to work with him more and more!

If you haven’t seen our new ambassador team riders page yet I highly suggest that you go give it a look see. This is why, we have guys all of the world who straight up shred. Thiago Duarte is a new addition to the team and he hails from Brazil! He is Currently sponsored by us and Riptide bushings but has one gnarly setup too! Aera trucks carry him safely and smoothly down the hills he rips up. If you haven’t gotten yourself on a set of Aera trucks then you are missing out. You probably aren’t missing out on $400 bucks or so but still, some things in this life, like Aera’s, are just more important! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! Treat yourself here and there! haha.
Thiago holds his lines strong with some ultra grippy Orangatang’s! Looks like he is either on 80a 4 Presidents or In Heats for the most of the time throughout this video. When he is freeriding more he is definitely rocking some Baluts! If I didn’t know any better I would think Orangatang is hooking him up too! Who knows… maybe they are, or maybe they should be! wink wink haha.
Looks like he has that Fibretec under his feet as well. Thiago must be a baller cause he has some seriously nice gear. But nice gear doesn’t mean jack if you don’t shred it and that is one thing that Thiago knows how to do! We are super impressed with this video and we know you guys will like it too!
Here is one of our ambassadors, Jose Guerra, with his crew of homies getting their shred on!
Eric Hoang is one of our newest Daddies Ambassadors to join the family! Stoked to have him on board!
Richard is another one of our new members to the ambassador team! Style for days!
I don’t think anyone learns as fast as this kid… such a pure natural style! Zach Boston is another new member!
Mikey, AKA Miguel Duranos is one of our shop members with a love for the street scooting. Also an insanely talented dancer when he is on a bhangra.
Pete is one of our staff members who loves all types of skating. Street deck with 66mm 81a freerides? That is some all around wood-push street-slaying love right there!
Here is Spencer getting all sideways on one of Portland’s finer spots! Except it is on the gnarly side, of Rocky Butte that is!
Curly Headed Quote of the Day: “You guys will be proud of me; I spooned with some chick last night.” *note* his new nickname is now spooner.
Im not sure if many people know but we have been working on an ambassador program to help spread the stoke. We are trying to hook up up and coming riders from all over the place. Here is one of our homies, Juan Mercado doing his thang, getting all sorts of fun stuff in the mix! Check him out in this fun little edit.
